THE BECOMING SESSIONS

A Personal Style Play Lab
in Four Acts

What This Is

Style as Self-Inquiry and Creative Practice

Style is (and always has been) deeply personal. It’s a language of self-expression shaped by memory, identity, and imagination.

But in times of immense change and possibility, what if we also treated style as a contemplative and creative practice?

A practice that  invites uninhibited play, reconnects us to why and how we dress, and brings us back into relationship with ourselves, with each other, and with the natural world.

The Becoming Sessions™ is a signature program designed to explore personal style through this lens. It is a pathway to self-inquiry, creativity, and authentic expression.

Across four immersive acts, we reconnect with ourselves, with one another, and with the evolving ecosystem of style, craft, culture, and meaning.

The experience is designed as a journey, yet each act offers complete value on its own.

The Four Acts

Act I: Style Archaeology

Jan 28, 2026

Reflection & Discovery

Uncover the layers of your personal style through reflection, storytelling, and creative inquiry.

Outcome: Your personal Style Compass™, a framework for understanding your values, influences, and how you want to show up in the world.

Act II: The Look Book Club

Feb 27, 2026

Articulation & Evolution

A book club meets creative salon. We’ll read The Look by Michelle Obama, exploring themes of confidence, visibility, and evolution. Through dialogue and visual exercises, you’ll articulate your evolving aesthetic and deepen your understanding of how you want your presence to feel.

Can be taken independently of Act I, though the work deepens if you've completed Style Archaeology.

Outcome: A living Style Moodboard or Style Manifesto that captures your evolving aesthetic.

Act III: The Atelier Open House

Details TBA

Collaboration & Craft

A communal studio experience featuring independent designers, stylists, and makers. Try pieces, explore materials, learn about process, and, if you wish, commission custom work. This act centers relationship and craft, and developing a deeper appreciation for how things are made.

Outcome: Real connections with designers, deeper appreciation for process and creation, potential custom collaborations.

Act IV: The Showcase

Details TBA

Integration & Embodiment

The journey culminates in playful, collective expression. Participants bring inner exploration and aesthetic articulation into form, curating looks, sharing stories, and celebrating their evolution through an intimate runway walk, portrait series, or community showcase.

Outcome: Integration of inner work and outer expression. A confident, embodied sense of personal style. Documentation of your transformation.

An intimate experience blending guided reflection, creative exercises, and conversation.

Together, we’ll explore how identity and self-expression take shape through what we wear — uncovering the stories, memories, and emotional arcs that have shaped your sense of style.

Why This Matters

  • Reconnect with your creative and expressive self

  • Discover new language for your evolving sense of style

  • Cultivate a more intentional, embodied relationship with what you wear

  • Ritualize getting dressed as an act of agency and self-empowerment

Act I: Style Archaeology

Join Act I

An immersive salon blending visual exploration, conversation, and creative authorship.

Using The Look by Michelle Obama as a shared cultural artifact, we’ll gather to explore style as as a practice of intention, visibility, collaboration, and evolution. The book lives in the room, not as required reading (although helpful), but as an object to browse, interpret, and respond to together.

Through guided prompts, panel conversation, and small-group reflection, we’ll engage with images, silhouettes, and moments of transformation, using Michelle Obama’s journey as a mirror for reflecting on our evolving relationship to style , self-inquiry, and self-expression.

Together, we ‘ll move from observation to interpretation to authorship.

Why This Matters

  • Explore style as a language of intention, not trends

  • Reflect on visibility, confidence, and evolution through dress

  • Learn how collaboration shapes personal expression

  • Articulate a clearer relationship to how you present yourself in the world

What You’ll Create

Everyone will leave with a Style Declaration, a short, personal articulation of how we want to dress, feel, and express ourselves in this season of becoming.

(This may take the form of a written statement, guiding principle, or visual page.)
